Vigilant was a centerboard sloop and had a pared-down smooth hull of Tobin Bronze heat-rolled metal plate and a ballast keel. In 1893 she was the victorious defender of the eighth America’s Cup against the British challenger. Vigilant was designed by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff and built by his manufacturing company in Rhode Island. Lovers of America’s Cup and Sailing history will welcome a gift of the Vigilant Journal!
The journal design is a reproduction of an original watercolor by Lee M. Buchanan and has the image on the front and back of the book. The journal has 128 ruled line single pages and a sturdy Casewrap binding. Use the Product List to find all of our other products that feature Vigilant.
