Columbia was a deep keel weighted with 90 tons of ballast to stabilize her sharply undercut hull. She was built in 1899 for American’s Cup Races and won the 10th and 11th races, winning two years in a row. Columbia was built by Nathanael Greene Herreshoff. America’s Cup History fans and sailing enthusiasts would enjoy receiving the Columbia Journal as a gift for any special occasion!
The journal design is a reproduction of an original watercolor by Lee M. Buchanan and has wrap-aroud printing of the image on the front and back of the book. There are 128 ruled line single pages in the sturdy casewrap binding.
