Schooners
A Schooner is a sailing vessel usually defined by its rigging. The schooner rig was used in vessels that served a variety of purposes including carrying passengers, cargo and fishing. The packet boats used for transporting passengers and goods were often schooners. Cod fishing schooners were popular in the New England waters.
Coast and Country's Atlantic Pearl represents the well-known Cape Cod Fishing Schooners. The Atlantic Pearl image is a reproduction of an original watercolor painting by artist Lee M. Buchanan.
